Job Title: Chemical Process EngineerJob Description

Collaborate with Plant Management, Supplier Partners, and the Corporate Technology Team to establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity are maintained and improved. Assist in preventive maintenance functions to ensure equipment availability and reliability. Develop partnerships with leading suppliers to stay updated with industry best practices. Conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of processes. Set up and conduct chemical experiments and tests using various chemical analysis techniques. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards. Design, develop, and optimize processes for chemical manufacturing by applying principles of chemistry, physics, mathematics, and engineering. Ensure processes and equipment are safe and comply with environmental regulations. Design, implement, and improve chemical processes, including anodizing, painting, and other surface finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

+ Strong understanding of chemistry, physics, and engineering principles.

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Training in basic chemistry, titration, and solution process control.

+ Experience in project planning and process stability.

+ Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing systems.

+ Experience and training in Lean and Six Sigma concepts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ BS degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.

+ 5+ years of experience in chemical processing.

+ Experience with waste treatment, painting, and anodizing of aluminum extrusions.

+ 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or plant environment.

+ Experience in waste water treatment and lean manufacturing.

Work Environment

Work takes place on the manufacturing floor and desk, with a 50% focus on chemical and waste water treatment. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The industrial environment requires boots, pants, and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats and glasses. Work can be physically demanding, especially in summer heat, while winter months may bring slower production and reduced hours. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
