I. Job Summary
The Lead Trainer is responsible for coaching, developing and supporting a team of trainers who deliver operations-focused programs for newly hired drivers, technicians, and front-line leaders. This role will assist in the development, coordination, and facilitation of various operations focused leadership programs. The Lead Trainer ensures training effectiveness by providing guidance on facilitation skills and adult learning best practices, as well as fosters a culture of professional growth and ensures trainers are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to enhance learning outcomes and operational performance. The Lead Trainer will support other operational needs of the WMTC.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Support organizational initiatives through ensuring alignment of learning objectives, performance tasks, and experiences to achieve intended training program outcomes.
+ Assist in the design, development, and implementation of operations training programs.Engage and facilitate learning for small and large groups from entry level employees to senior stakeholders in both in-person and virtual environments.
+ Collaborate with WMTC leadership team to ensure consistent execution of delivery standards defined within the training center standard operating procedures
+ Observe, coach, and provide feedback using coaching techniques and models to encourage and motivate WMTC trainers towards continuous improvement
+ Provide direction and feedback to team members on the verbal and/or written recommendations they communicate to the field related to performance observations and interventions
+ Participate in the recruitment and selection process for prospective WM Trainers with WMTC leadership
+ Create a safe and inclusive learning environment to ensure a positive learning experience for all
+ Assist the WMTC Site Manager with performance evaluations and professional development.
+ Deliver training utilizing adult learning principles as needed to new and existing WM team members to ensure the business requirements are met
+ Assistwith the scheduling of training programs

A. Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience Required In addition to educational requirements Required and
+ 2 years of supervisory experience either as a supervisor or in a delegated team lead role Required and
+ 3 years delivering training to adult learners in a variety of learning methods in an operations environment Required
B. Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree (accredited) Preferred or
+ Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B without Airbrake restriction Preferred
